LIFT is an online stress and trauma curriculum for adolescents developed to support youth in areas with limited mental health resources, as well as to enhance trauma interventions already in place. LIFT aims to teach adolescents cognitive behavioral techniques to cope with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma and to build resilience in their daily lives. Rooted in cognitive-behavioral theory, the curriculum includes components of cognitive-behavioral therapy such as: psycho-education, cognitive restructuring, trauma narrative, and problem solving. LIFT include seven modules. In each module, students watch videos that deliver didactic content and engage in learning exercises to reinforce the primary lessons in each module. A preliminary study of LIFT found reductions in PTSD symptoms, total behavioral difficulties, emotional problems, hyperactivity, and ratings of how stressed they felt. LIFT is not yet available to the public at large, but access can be granted upon request.
